How About You
You smiled through the visits. You thanked everyone for coming. And the moment the door closed, you sat down and didn't even know what you were feeling. That moment deserves support. That moment is exactly why I'm here.

What Nobody Tells You
You cried this morning and you don't know why. You love your baby — fiercely, completely — and yet some part of you is grieving something you can't name. You feel touched out by 9am. You resent your partner and then feel guilty for it. You scroll Instagram at 3am and everyone else seems to be thriving.
You are not failing. You are not broken. You are just not being held.
The world celebrated your birth and then moved on. The baby got the visitors, the gifts, the attention. You, the woman who just went through the most transformative experience of your life, got a six-week checkup and a pamphlet.
You were told you were doing amazing. Inside, you were quietly drowning. You smiled in photos while slowly disappearing. You stopped recognising yourself. Not just in the mirror, but in your own thoughts, your own needs, your own name.
This is the support cliff. And it is real. And you don't have to stand at the edge of it alone.
A Letter to You
You spent months preparing for the birth. The books. The names. The nursery. And then the baby arrived. And everything you had prepared for was suddenly behind you.
Maybe you had the Kraamweek. Someone was there. And then the last day came, and the door closed. Your partner went back to work. Your family went back to their lives. And there you were. Still figuring it out. Alone.
Then the six-week checkup. A doctor nods and tells the world you are "recovered."
Nobody prepares you for Matrescence. The transformation of becoming a mother. Your brain rewiring. Your body still healing. Your old self waving goodbye while your new self hasn't arrived yet.
It is beautiful. And it can be incredibly lonely.
Whether you are pregnant or have already had your baby, you can choose support where you feel truly held.
Not just the first week. The whole unfolding.
Who I Am
The first year of my daughter's life, I was lonely. Really lonely.
Not the kind you admit out loud. The invisible kind. Where you are holding everyone else together while quietly forgetting yourself.
I smiled. I said I was fine. Inside, I didn't recognise myself anymore. Not in the mirror. Not in my thoughts. Not in who I was becoming.
Motherhood was beautiful. And it was overwhelming. And nobody talked about the part that was about me.
When I found the word Matrescence, I cried. Because it meant it was real. It had a name. I wasn't broken. I was just becoming.
That is why I do this work. Not because I have all the answers. But because I know what it feels like to need someone to sit with you in it. Without fixing. Without rushing. Without looking away.
